Towards the Other

Pier Giorgio's Places: A Guide to Discovering His Story

Web App

To help visitors discover the life and places associated with Pier Giorgio Frassati, Verso l'altro has created the web app “I luoghi di Pier Giorgio” , available free of charge in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Polish : https://luoghifrassati.versolaltro.it/.

The web app offers three itineraries dedicated to the places that have marked the history of Pier Giorgio: Verso l'altro , the Frassatour and the Sentieri Frassati.

Towards the other

The section dedicated to the exhibition space accompanies the museum visit with a digital guide available in several languages. By selecting the room you are in, you can listen to the audio guide and audio descriptions dedicated to the visually impaired.

Specific itineraries are also available for blind visitors, to make the visit an increasingly accessible and inclusive experience.

Frassatour: Discovering Pier Giorgio's Turin

The Frassatour section allows you to explore the Turin experienced by Pier Giorgio Frassati through a map of the places connected to him.

There are thirteen places you can discover independently: from the homes Pier Giorgio lived in to the spaces of his daily life, to the places of prayer, friendship, and commitment to others. The map also includes two particularly significant places outside Turin: Pollone and the Sanctuary of Oropa.

Each stop is accompanied by a description and an audio guide that sheds light on the connection between that place and Pier Giorgio's story, offering visitors the opportunity to create their own itinerary to discover his Turin.

This route was developed together with the author of FrassatiTour , maintaining a close connection with the book.

The Frassati Paths

The final section is dedicated to the Frassati Paths , hiking trails created to remember Pier Giorgio and his great love for the mountains.

Through a menu divided by Italian region, you can access information on the trails in the area and discover the itineraries dedicated to Pier Giorgio, thanks to the content available on the official Sentieri Frassati website.

The web app “The places of Pier Giorgio” thus becomes a tool to continue the journey of knowledge begun in the museum and follow the traces left by Pier Giorgio between Turin, the mountains and the places that have preserved his story.
