It is the most important high school in Turin, where the cultural elites of the city studied. Pier Giorgio, however, struggled, and failed Latin in his first year. He then moved to the Istituto Sociale (then in the center in via Avogadro), where, thanks to the guidance of the Jesuit Fathers, he grew in faith and awareness of his vocation.
