Like all the great saints, social and otherwise, of Turin, Pier Giorgio also draws strength and inspiration from the spiritual heart of Turin: the church of the Consolata. Pier Giorgio's veneration for Mary is very important, he prayed the rosary every day. Under the bell tower of the Consolata Pier Giorgio would meet with the brothers of the San Vincenzo and then go to the homes of the poor and to the Cottolengo.
