
Tuesday 18 November 2025, 18:30 a Turin, in Hall of Coats of Arms at the registered office of the Italian Alpine Club al Mount of the CapuchinsAntonello Sica's book is presented: Pier Giorgio Frassati and his paths (Effatà Editrice). The event is part of the 2025 autumn season of "Reading the Mountains" series of meetings with authors and personalities of mountain culture and mountaineering curated by National Library of the CAI in collaboration with the National Mountain Museum.
To lead the meeting with the author Antonello Sica, CAI member and academic of GISM-Italian Mountain Writers Group, will be Francesco Rondinelli, of the Compagnia della Cima; interventions by are also planned Marco Blatto - GISM president, mountaineer, CAI Culture member - and of Isabella Brianza, of the Catholic Action of Turin and organizer of the "FrassaTour".
It will be an opportunity to learn more about:
- the path of the life testimony of Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901-1925), beatified on 20 May 1990 and canonized on 7 September 2025;
- the hiking trails and mountaineering climbs he completed in Piedmont and the Aosta Valley;
- the paths named after him in every region of Italy between 1996 and 2012 at the initiative of the Italian Alpine Club and with the collaboration of Giovane Montagna, Italian Catholic Action and FUCI-Italian Catholic University Federation (of all of which Pier Giorgio Frassati was a very active member), as well as scout associations, including AGESCI.
